Our Story
Why a hummingbird? I have a vivid memory of sitting in a peaceful, sunlit garden in the western Himalayan mountains, when I suddenly became aware of flashes of colours in the air near me. Hovering close to me amongst the flowers, collecting sweet nectar, was a brilliantly coloured tiny hummingbird ... catching me off guard as it flitted away in a swirl of colour and speed. A moment caught in time; never forgotten.
Displaying resilience, strength and flexibility, hummingbirds beat their tiny wings up to 80 times per second. They also symbolize joy through colour, vitality through their endurance, and the ability to adapt to their environment.
